Megan Suri is a first-generation Indian American actress from Los Angeles, CA. Her parents immigrated from Northwestern India, and although Megan was born in the US, she also lived in India for two and a half years of her childhood. Megan speaks fluent Hindi and Punjabi.
Megan booked her first major role in the blockbuster feature film VALENTINE’S DAY for the late legendary director, Garry Marshall. She recently recurred on HBO’s THE BRINK working alongside Jack Black and also recurred Netflix’s hit series, ATYPICAL. She’s had the opportunity to guest star on BONES, GUIDANCE, FUTURE MAN, SPEECHLESS, and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, FRESH OFF THE BOAT. A pivotal moment in Megan’s career occurred when she booked her first title role in the feature film, THE MISEDUCATION OF BINDU, alongside Priyanka Bose and David Arquette - for which she was awarded the Special Jury Award for Acting by the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. Currently, Megan just wrapped filming the recurring role of Aneesa on Netflix’s Season 2 of NEVER HAVE I EVER and she is looking forward to the release of her next indie film, DRAMARAMA.
Eddie (Hudson Yang) introduces Evan (Ian Chen) to his classmate, Simryn (guest star Megan Suri), a spelling bee legend. Evan needs her help studying, so Eddie agrees to do her chores around the Magic Motor Inn.
The film follows Bindu (Megan Suri, THE BRINK) on what she hopes to be her last day of public school. After being brought to America by her mother (Priyanka Bose, LION), she struggles to fit in at school and is targeted by the bullies.
